National Gallery of Zimbabwe Set to Showcase 80 Photographic Masterpieces

Starting May 30, the National Gallery of Zimbabwe will host "Portraits of Zimbabwe," an exhibit featuring more than 80 photographic prints by the late photographer Chicago Dzviti. The portraits of Zimbabwe have been brought about through the support of the U.S. Embassy. The exhibit will be jointly curated by Jennifer Kyker, who holds dual positions as an associate professor of ethnomusicology at the Eastman School of Music and as an associate professor of music in the College Music Department at the University of Rochester, along with Fadzai Muchemwa, the curator of contemporary art at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. Dzviti was born in Shamva in 1961, and from this rustic background, he cultivated an interest in photography. He further honed his skills at Harare Polytechnic starting in 1987. Flick Urges Lookman Ahead of Diaz: Report

Barcelona Coach Hansi Flick has chosen Super Eagles player Ademola Lookman as his top transfer priority for strengthening the attack at the Catalan club, ahead of Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

The Nigerian striker has been performing exceptionally well for Atalanta, playing a crucial role in the Italian team's achievements this campaign and attracting interest from top European clubs with his remarkable displays.

Even though Lookman was connected to a transfer last summer, notably to Paris Saint-Germain, nothing came of it. Currently, his outstanding performances have turned him into a coveted asset, with both Barcelona and Arsenal expressing strong interest.

Even with Barcelona’s widely known fiscal difficulties, Flick is advocating strongly for Lookman’s signing; however, acquiring him might be tricky since Atalanta estimates their top player to be worth between €60-€70 million.

The big Spanish club is apparently considering structuring a deal with installment payments, though Atalanta might hesitate to accept these conditions. Despite this, Flick favors Lookman’s playing style for Barcelona’s offensive strategy and is hopeful that an arrangement can be made.

As reported by Chroniclelive, Lookman has communicated his intention to depart Atalanta once the season concludes, having formally submitted a transfer request to the club based in Bergamo.

The actor, who was born in London, is reportedly eager about making a comeback to the Premier League, having formerly played for teams like Everton, Leicester City, and Fulham.

The choice of the African Player of the Year comes after a well-publicized dispute with Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini regarding a missed penalty kick. Although they seemed to resolve their differences, latest reports indicate that the player is looking for a new beginning at another club.

Newcastle United and Manchester United are said to have initiated early discussions with the athlete, whose current deal with Atalanta runs for another year and contains an option allowing the club to prolong it by an additional season.

Spanish media outlet Fichajes reported that Barcelona has already initiated contact with Lookman’s representatives, with Flick viewing him as a key potential addition to strengthen the club’s attacking options.
